I've been really bored of fashion blogging lately. I still dress up and wear the insane stuff I own but the whole photographing, editing, and posting (rinse & repeat) is getting stale. It's amazing so many people can do it full-time. Doesn't it get mundane after a while? Do we ever reach a point of contentment with our closets? How much can you buy before it's enough? I guess I'm just a really shitty consumer. 

I keep finding myself more drawn toward writing and drawing and watching weird movies and complaining about capitalism with people from the internet. Maybe I'm not cut out for fashion blogging...

Anyway, I finally bought myself the Urbanears Plattan Plus headphones I've wanted for ages. In purple too! So lucky. I don't even think this color is available online for the + version; found them on eBay randomly.

I remember seeing Alice as a guest judge on Project Runway a few seasons back and she was wearing the most intricate and beautiful dress I'd ever seen. After a few long nights skimming through her past collections and current work, I was obsessed. This parachute dress might be my perfect summer dress. I love the drape of the fabric and that bright yellow; makes you so happy!

This look from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection is my favorite. I can't wait to stuff my closet with Temperley everything. But, for now, this dress and I will get on swimmingly.

I'm sensing that my last post made you all super uncomfortable which I guess was point. Fashion blogging is loads of fun, shopping is fun, photos are fun, creative visions are fun...but indulging in that experience without any understanding or care for the systems supporting it is, well, fucked up.

To be clear, I have no intention of evolving this blog into a sugar coated wonderland. My blog is a translation of my thoughts and my thoughts revolve around injustice 80% of the time. Maybe I'll get into why in a later post. For now the point is I'm a fashion blogger but I don't exist in a vacuum. 

ONTO THE MAJESTIC OUTFIT.

If you ever plan on wearing a cardigan/top as a skirt/dress, be sure it's perfectly secure before heading into public. I kept having to adjust and redo the skirt because it was sort of an unnatural shape. In any case, I rather like the idea of buying cardigans with the intention of wearing them as skirts. Most clothes come with an "intended way to be worn" but there's really no good reason to stick to that dressing approach. 

Also, wicked new tights from ASOS. I'm really happy with these; very comfy and in your face. 

I have no idea what to do with my hands while taking photos so sometimes I look like a lobster.
