i'm terrified about this DIY. i don't really indulge in elaborate projects alone...but i figured, what the hell!?

 the idea came while i was shopping on yesstyle (which i adore) and found this incredible skirt.


i was also thinking about mint and eggplant but i figured i'd just tackle a single color project first.

i was hopping around on the internet (yes, like a bunny) and i came across some beautiful photos...for the fashion, but also for the people !!

i'll save my favorite for last. let's start with this one from Marie Claire US December (by Tesh)...

i'm nuts about those cap toe heels...not sure who designed them--help!?

i told you i'd save the best for last. i'm so in love with this dress!! despite all the research, i really don't know who designed it. i'd love to find out though; if you know, give me a ring.

i've tried on several occasions to get heavily involved in the fashion blogging scene but it's never been a sustained relationship. not that i don't love clothes, shoes, style, or design; rather, it's like getting a puppy as a kid--it's a big responsibility. and i didn't want to begin such a commitment unless i was sure i had the time to devote.

so here it is: my fashion blog! i'm terrified and thrilled. to start, here's a short introduction...

my name is yasmeen. i only recently developed a strong sense of attachment to fashion and design. i fostered it since last summer and have been following several fashion bloggers and designers since.

i've never been able to concretely identify my style but i think it'll become more evident with my posts. for example, i love structured clothing like blazers, but i also love draped, grecian dresses. my palette includes mostly muted colors like gray, taupe, pastels like light green and yellow, and rich colors like royal blue and burgundy.
