Intricacies and Irrationality

I've always been inspired by intricate details (which explains my love of paisley) and systematic patterns...This probably also explains my recent mirror-image obsession...

I THINK IT'S NEAT. I don't care. Humph!

These are some of my favorite intricacies in homes and interior design...

(I have to admit, real houses with such decor often give me shivers but I tend but find some sort of tragic beauty in them. I suppose that's their charm...)

The name of this blog comes from my insatiable love for castles. I haven't delved deep enough into my own thoughts to understand why I feel so at ease and calm when I see them, I just know there's something magical in every castle and I can't help but want that.

Do I sound like a cartoon character yet?

Remember, if you have any questions, post them below! I need some for my undeveloped FAQ!

  2. These photos are incredible - loving the grandeur, the baroque, the romanticism! There is a very tragic beauty to them, I can just see Marie Antoinette in these rooms. If you haven't seen it already, check out McQueen's F/W 2010 collection, this reminded me of it.

And you're right, the editorial on my blog was very nostalgic - like going to grandma's home type of this. You should see the entire collection!
