I've always felt strongly about spending my seventy something years on Earth doing what I love and enriching our society. That will never change. I wonder how plausible it is, though. Am I being too idealistic? Perhaps I haven't thought about the requirements and consequences of taking such a steep stance on life.
Here's a less existential thought: This is a thrifted dress. I love it. When I originally found it on the rack, it was far more matronly. I removed the shoulder pads and long skirt thingy. Don't ask. This day was spent discussing a book I'm writing with my best friend. Her name is Mahria and I'll be posting her on the blog soon. She may even do a guest post at some point. She's. Just. Swell. Trust me. You'll see.
(Thrifted/Altered Dress, F21 Tights, F21 Metal Bangle, UrbanOg Boots)
(Eyeliner is Buxom Insider Eyeliner in Sapphire)
Like I previously mentioned, I adore these boots. They were last seen here.
We hung out in the woods behind my place again. Not only is there a secret park, the secret park has a sister! I found another park just few yards away; complete with swings and a slide. The stealth of these parks is quite impressive. I can't believe no one else has discovered them yet. Incredible.

Deat Castle Fashion,
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing wrong with impractical aspirations. As long as you're not breaking the laws of physics, it's most likely possible...then again the bumble bee does that everytime it flys, so maybe you can!
Like the dress but LOVE the boots.
Beautiful dress!
ReplyDeleteLove the way you transformed it(:

Hi There,
ReplyDeletethank you for visiting my blog and your nice comment.
I love your style and your NAME.
This whole rugged boots with a mini dress is totally my thing as well.
Well, that is a nice goal to have and I think sometimes even in a smaller scale you can continue as you progress in your own life.

I think about things like that all the time. The frequent question that comes to mind is what if I should be doing something else? What if I'm better at doing that rather than what I'm doing now? I guess all you can really do is..... go out there and simply do. :) Lovely dress, by the way! Wish I had a little secret part of the woods of my own.

I love reading your posts, as they're so thoughtful and honest and full of whimsy on things like secret parks and thrifted dresses.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment back on tattoos. It's actually something that I had been against for the longest time because I didn't want to be just anyone with any tattoo that didn't have any meaning behind it. I've only been thinking about it more recently because I think I finally found something that I'd want to keep with me for the rest of my life.
I love this dress with these boots..and secret parks!
