Secret Park

I found an abandoned park behind my apartment complex. I've been so excited to shoot there and we finally did today. The lighting was just perfect. The only awful part was walking around barefoot in an attempt to become one with nature -___- So much for that...I stepped on so many thorns!

Once again my Steve Madden Boat Shoes also made an appearance. I love those little guys.

Captain

Anybody else watching Project Runway? It just released on Hulu a few days ago and I've been catching up on the last season. I love designing along with the show and I've got some sketches to show you guys once they're perfect! Anyway, I just spotted this jacket and I love it.

In A Marsh Far, Far Away

I went on two interesting shoots yesterday. The second, I will save for later (wouldn't want to photo spam you!) But here are the results from our day merrily navigating a 20x20 piece of grassy marsh...

I was sporting a Faded Glory Dress, F21 Yoga Pants, and Steve Madden Boat Shoes (Which I got on sale!)



My little buddy Roosevelt made an appearance (He was so excited to be out there!)  

I hope you liked these! Working with the camera we had was AH-mazing. Having a strong camera and an especially good lens is one of the most refreshing things in the world. I hate working with anything less...

8 Things

I want a decent camera. That is all. 
 
I had some thoughts about successful fashion blogging though. Seems like what it takes to deliver high quality content consistently is a (1) a photographer (boyfriend, mom etc.) (2) a good amount of money to blow every week and (3) inspiration and creativity (which all of us have). It's the other two that seem to trip people up. With that in mind, I'm going to switch my blog into an inspiration/photography blog (with occasional fashion updates) until I get a DSLR and graduate from University! In the mean time...

Morning Mischief

Got back from NY pretty late last night but it was so utterly and completely worth it. I found some great (non-summer) attire at H&M (I'm awful at shopping for summer clothes!) and we went to see the Daily Show with the ever-so dreamy Jon Stewart. That's really the only way I can describe him; dreamy! 
 
One of my favorite things to do (after exhausting days) is sit with a cup of tea in the morning and read random fashion blogs. It's the most crushingly relaxing activity in the world. I hope I'll be able to move from this couch soon. Ha. Anyway, here are some things that have been inspiring me lately...

 
Fresh colors, dainty textures and shapes, and backless dresses; un rêve se matérialise!
