DIY | Nail Polish Ring Protection

Imagine my frustration when I began to notice my rings' antique gold color fading away? That's the price of...well, low prices. As it were, my best friend Mahria had a trick that could fix this issue. If you've ever seen your rings begin fading or changing colors (as shown below) try this out:

Using a clear nail polish, coat any part of the jewelry that will come in contact with your skin. What ends up happening without a coating is a chemical reaction. There are a variety of metals used in jewelry that can react with acids, oils, lotions etc. on your skin so this is a quick and easy to ward off the fading and what some call the "green finger."

You may have to reapply the coat of nail polish if you notice it peeling. I just finished my batch for the month.
