Inspiration | My Future Living Room

(All Images via Tumblr)

Yesterday, Mahria and I were talking about interior design and we concluded a few things: 1. She will help me decorate my place 2. I will definitely have a sun room one day. That's my list so far. I imagine I'll run around to garage sales looking for antique decor when the time comes.

It should be fun. Until then, here are some pretty, pretty living rooms.

Life | Broadcasting From My Desk

I've been hunched over this desk (and a variety of other desks) this entire week; lots of work to be done this month. I've taken on a ridiculous amount of recreational projects on top of my coursework and ressearch. Hopefully, I'll come out alive on the other end. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying Sunday night Walking Dead episodes, rice cereal in the morning, and these new sunnies. I love throwing them on when I'm in an awful mood ~ help me get by.

New In | Valentine's Day

(c/o The Mister)

Rushed to the post office to pick up a few packages this morning; little did I know this lass was hiding in one of the boxes. Penny came with the note photographed above. I hope she likes it here. You're the best, Mo.

DIY | Nail Polish Ring Protection

Imagine my frustration when I began to notice my rings' antique gold color fading away? That's the price of...well, low prices. As it were, my best friend Mahria had a trick that could fix this issue. If you've ever seen your rings begin fading or changing colors (as shown below) try this out:

Using a clear nail polish, coat any part of the jewelry that will come in contact with your skin. What ends up happening without a coating is a chemical reaction. There are a variety of metals used in jewelry that can react with acids, oils, lotions etc. on your skin so this is a quick and easy to ward off the fading and what some call the "green finger."

You may have to reapply the coat of nail polish if you notice it peeling. I just finished my batch for the month.
